About Harbor Transit
Harbor Transit Providing Public Transportation Since 1975
Harbor Transit started in 1975 ago as a small Dial-A-Ride service with just four vans and a 10-square-mile service area. As community members started using our public transportation service, Harbor Transit gained popularity and was able to expand. In 2012, we shifted from the old DART service and established Harbor Transit Multi-Modal Transit System.
OUR MISSION
Harbor Transit will provide high quality transportation service that is safe, efficient, and cost effective, delivered by dedicated employees in a professional manner while addressing the diverse mobility needs of all residents within our service territory.
We’re Dedicated to Exceptional Service
Harbor Transit serves a 55-square-mile area with a fleet of 29 accessible buses. We transport thousands of riders a year in our expansive service area of 55 square miles including the City of Ferrysburg, City of Grand Haven, Grand Haven Township, Village of Spring Lake, and Spring Lake Township. We’re proud to say that one of the values that helped Harbor Transit grow is our dedication to exceptional service. That’s a value we’ve always strived to maintain, and it’s one of the reasons we continue to provide an on-demand, curb-to-curb transit system today. Learn more about our services here.
