Covid-19 Safety

Passenger safety is our top priority.

At Harbor Transit, passenger safety is our top priority. During these trying times, we are taking extra precautions to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Harbor Transit buses are sanitized daily.

Buses are fogged with disinfectant each night to ensure a pristinely clean bus for the next day’s riders. Our bus operators take pride in keeping each vehicle clean and comfortable for our passengers.

Masks are required for all passengers.

Per Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations, all passengers (2 years and older) are required to wear a face mask while riding on public transportation. Please see below for more information.

Please visit cdc.gov for more information on Covid-19.

Federal Mask Mandate Still in Effect for Public Transportation

Though the mask mandate for the State of Michigan expired on June 22, 2021, the federal mask mandate for public transportation remains in effect. You are still required to wear a mask while riding Harbor Transit buses and the trolley. Thank you for your cooperation and we’ll see you on board.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the U.S. Department of Transportation remind the traveling public that you are still required to wear a mask on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States, and in U.S. transportation hubs and stations.
