LOCAL ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING
MINUTES
December 28, 2022 at 1:15 P.M., GH Central Park Place

1. Meeting called to order by Carrie Uthe, Chairperson at 1:16PM

3. Approval of the August 17, 2022 Meeting Minutes. Motion to approve by Norman Cunningham, 2nd by Chrysteen Moelter-Gray. Motion Approved.

4. General Business / Call to Audience – Norman Cunningham brought up that in the event of
weather or other circumstances can the meeting be conducted by email. It was explained that the meeting could not be conducted by email.

5. General Business:

A. Introduction of New LAC Council Member Sarah Wheeler who will be representing the Village of Spring Lake, MI.

B. Discussion/Action of the 2024 Vehicle Accessibility plan. Motion to Approve Norman Cunningham, 2nd by Chrysteen Moelter-Gray. Motion Approved.

C. Reviewed change in Fare Structure Approved by the Harbor Transit Board, which will go back to the single Tier Fare System that was previously in place.
Lisa Greenwood asked if punch cards would be honored. Harbor Transit will honor all unused punch cards when we resume fares.

D. Discussion/Action of 2023 LAC Meeting Dates. Motion to approve Norman Cunningham, 2nd by Angie Devries. Motion Approved.

E. Review of Ridership and No Show Riders Tom Burghardt Operations Supervisor.

F. Ridership Complaints Reviewed by Tom Burghardt. Out of the 6 complaints 4 were related to driving. 1 concern was the passenger waited for the ride for an hour. The last concern was the passenger felt the dispatcher was rude.

6. Finance Report: Tom Burghardt/Scott Borg
Discussed the Balance Sheet Activity and Revenue & Expense Activity for October.
Fiscal Year budget 2022/2023 is 3% higher than last year.

7. Transportation Director Report: Scott Borg
New building update. Grand Haven Township. Need to start the environmental study.
Reviewed the New Bus orders and the Delays that were associated due to chip, and chassis
shortages. Reviewed the Ferry School Neighborhood partnership program with Harbor Transit.

8. General Comments/Discussions from LAC members
None.

9. The Local Advisory Council’s next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 15, 2023
at 1:15pm at the Grand Haven Central Park Place.
