According to the Attorney General, interrupting a public meeting in Michigan with hate speech or profanity could result in criminal charges under several State statutes relating to Fraudulent Access to a Computer or Network (MCL 752.797) and/or Malicious Use of Electronics Communication (MCL 750.540). According to the US Attorney for Eastern Michigan, Federal charges may include disrupting a public meeting, computer intrusion, using a computer to commit a crime, hate crimes, fraud, or transmitting threatening communications. Public meetings are being monitored and violations of statutes will be prosecuted.
- New Business:
A. Presentation by Amy Bessinger on the 2016-2017 dividend the City of Grand Haven received from the PAR Plan and how they will distribute proceeds.
B. Discussion/action on adopting the COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan.
C, Discussion/action on the Motion to approve the Harbor Transit Wage Scale as presented, with an effective date of October 1, 2020.
D. Discussion/action on the Motion to approve the classification of the Finance & Compliance Director position to Grade 9 and pay $30.14 for the position retroactively to July 1, 2020.
E. Discussion/Update on the Transportation Director search.
F. Discussion/action to Receive and File the Bills from the Payable Warrant.
G. Discussion/action to Receive and File the Revenue and Expenditure Report for Period Ending June 30, 2020.
H. Discussion/action to Receive and File the Balance Sheet for Harbor Transit for Period Ending June 30, 2020.
I. Discussion/action to Receive and File the GL Distribution Report for Dates 6-3-2020 through 6-26-2020
